A real jamón bone is essential to add authentic flavor to the traditional stews or 'cocidos of Spain. Cut from a Serrano ham that was aged for over 18 months in Spain, this jamón bone adds the aromatic, rich taste of this classic Spanish cured meat.
Each one comes from a ham that we de-boned here at our USDA inspected facility, so it is fresh and full of flavor. A little ham is left on the bones, adding delectable ham bites to any stew or soup.
Cocidos and stews are famous across northern and central Spain. Whether made with potatoes and greens like Galician cocido Gallego, or with rich white beans, like Asturian fabada, the flavor and aroma of jamón is an essential ingredient.
Each bone comes vacuum packed. Store in the refrigerator for up to a month, or freeze for even longer. The ham on these bones is fully dry-cured and safe to eat without cooking.
