The flavor of Alcaparrones --caperberries-- is a less intense version of the typical flavor of a caper. Capers are the buds and caperberries are the fruit of a wild flowering bush, Capparis Spinosa, which grows in profusion along the long Mediterranean coastline of Spain. These juicy pickled treats are wonderful with seafood and as a garnish for salads. Around our house, they generally do not get as far as the dinner table - my family hangs around the kitchen during meal preparation and eats them right out of the jar!

Caperberries are handpicked in midsummer and naturally fermented in order to guarantee their delicate texture, green color, and unique flavor.

"We became addicted to alcaparrones on one of our trips to Spain, and having them here at home in Florida is almost like being back there."

"The perfect tart accompaniment for a baked salmon dish as seen on Rachel Ray. So delicious several of the guests went back for more."

"I love capers, and these large caperberries are just more of the same, and more fun to eat! Occasionally there is one that seems over the hill, but certainly for the most part they are tasty and unusual."
