Zamburinas are small tender scallops that are a favorite in Galicia in Northwest Spain. They are prepared in a tomato and paprika sauce called 'Salsa Gallega.' Serve them warm with crackers and a cool glass of Galician Albarino vino.

The seas off the coast of Galicia in Northwest Spain are cool and rich in nutrients, making them an incredible fishing ground. Conservas de Cambados is located close to one of Spain’s largest Rías (estuaries), known as the 'Ría de Arousa'. Their facilities are very close to where the seafood is harvested, so they are able to use the freshest squid and shellfish available.

    "these were lovely. I was specially surprised by the presence of tiny, bright orange packets of scallop roe (scallop roe!) along the edges of some of the scallops, which I had never before seen or savored in my life. having only ever been acquainted with large, tubular medallions of scallop muscle before, this can of tiny, whole scallops was a very special treat. I planned to pour following cans of these zamburinas into a nice flat pasta, but could really not resist--I ate them all straight from the can. if I could rate this product 10 stars, I would."
